Britax Chaperone Infant Car Seat

Britax has developed a car that gives extra safety to children while they are riding your car and this safety device is called the Britax Chaperone Infant Car Seat. It is also called as the True Side Impact Protection which is exclusively manufactured by Britax. If an accident happens, side impacts are very common and this will result to 30% of injuries that comes from the side impacts. This gives Britax an idea to develop a device that can protect a child from the said threat. The Chaperone Infant Car Seat offers these two special features; a firm structure with high sidewalls and a head control which both have the energy-absorbing foam. These features gives the child a protection from a possible vehicle incursion, the child’s neck, head and spine are well-fitted and well-aligned limiting the movements in case of a crash. There is also an anti-rebound technology, creating a solid L shape structure which protects the head of the child from a massive force and contradict the movement that comes from the impact. Other features are Premium Lower LATCH Connectors for a quick and simple installation – uses push button for a quick release, Height Adjustment Knob (on base) for proper seat angle and positioning, Large multiple position canopy and ergonomic carry handle.

Mercedes Benz E 63 AMG – New Fuel Efficient Car

Car manufacturers are trying to develop the most fuel efficient car today. Mercedes Benz has introduced their latest car that they developed, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG. Based on the specs that they released, it is said to be the one of the most fuel efficient car in the market today. It uses a new AMG 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 which produces a power of 386kW with a torque of 700Nm; maximum power of 410kW and maximum torque of 800Nm.

In terms of fuel consumption, 2012 E 63 AMG uses 9.8 liters/100 km with CO2 emissions of 230g/km in sedan and 234g/km in wagon. E 63 AMG will probably have a great handling and steering as they use the electromechanical AMG speed-sensitive steering. This electromechanical system also helps the car to have less fuel consumption. As far as the safety features are concern, this car offers the Active blind spot system and the Active lane keeping system. It has also the ability to run at 0-100km/hr in 4.3 seconds in sedan and 4.4 seconds in wagon. As you drive this car you will notice its comfortable interior and outstanding accessories and devices. A TFT 3D screen, leather inserts and the new AMG 3-spoke steering wheel. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG will be launched in Australia this coming November.

GM’s New Infotainment System – MyLink and IntelliLink

General Motors has finally unveiled their new car infotainment system. It is called the MyLink and IntelliLink infotainment system that is powered by smartphones. You can connect to its entertainment system through USB or Bluetooth. You can get great features when a smartphone is connected to the system such as voice activation, steering wheel controls and clean connection.  Just in case you don’t have a smartphone, you can still use its normal features like the CD player, iPod inputs and XM satellite radio by using touch screens or control buttons. Regarding with the voice activation they bring it to the next level as they have a competition to Ford; GM and Ford are using Nuance and Gracenote in connection to their entertainment and navigation system. In addition, there are optional features like the automatic crash response, diagnostics, airbag notification and 24-7 safety advisors (provide assistance in using the new feature). Though it is equipped with outstanding features, the navigation system is still limited, just like a Google maps in a phone that cannot be displayed on the car screen. As of now GM only allows two mobile apps for this platform, Pandora and Stitcher. Others are still in the process of approval, just like the iHeartRadio, Spotify and Mog.

MyLink will be presented in the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox and 2012 Chevrolet Volt (in Fall) and 2013 Chevrolet Malibu (next year) while IntelliLink are available in 2012 Buick, Veranos, LaCross and Regal.

Scion’s New Concept – FR-S Sports Car

One of the world’s largest vehicle developers by sales and production which is Toyota takes the Scion division to introduce the concept of their new Scion FR-S sports car. It is a rear wheel drive sports car that is based on the AE86 version of the Corolla. FR-S uses Subaru 2.0 boxer engine and because of its flat shape and compact size it is perfect to be mounted to the rear. It allows an outstanding driving performance and a great handling. In their concept it includes the integration of Toyota injection system that gives a great boost to its power and torque. They planned to install a short-throw six speed manual or automatic transmission. It uses a lightweight design and a short wheelbase which helps the “balance factor” of the car. In terms of its fuel consumption, the company had not yet released the specs as far as the fuel efficiency is concern.

The profile of FR-S is inspired from the Toyota 2000 GT. The interior of the concept car has not shown but most likely it has a keyless entry and a panoramic moon roofs. This car will be coming out next year and probably hit a price of $30,000 – a low price good looking sports car.

Dodge has developed their latest model of car, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 392. It is a modified car with a unique details in the exterior with two colors and full-body stripes; Deep water blue with stone white stripes, bright white clear coat with standard viper blue stripes. Buick Envision SUV Concept in Auto Shanghai 2011

In cooperation with the Shanghai GM and Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, a new car was developed named Buick Envision SUV Concept. GM unveiled their Plug-in hybrid car in the Auto Shanghai 2011 last April 18. A lot of features are installed in this car such as the solar energy roof that gives an extra charge to the battery pack. Buick Envision is using a 2.0 liter SIDI intelligent injection turbocharged engine joined with 2 electric motors. A dual automatic/manual 8-speed transmission with All-Wheel-Drive is also present as it offers great handling to the car. They bring the features of this car into the next level as the speed, navigation details and fuel consumption are can be seen in the windshield in 3D form. Traditional rear view mirrors are replaced with micro-cameras that serve as the eye off the road. In addition, Bluetooth DUN intelligent internet system is also one of its great features. The key features of its interior are the asymmetric central console, central tunnel, an instrument panel and a flat bottomed steering wheel. You will noticed its well-designed and detail-oriented features in its exterior such as the two layer waterfall grille, LED headlamps, fog lights and the 22 inch aluminum alloy wheels with silicon sports tires. Buick Envision offers a fast magnetic ride control system with the help of energy cycle function. The company makes sure that this car will really fit to China’s car market.
