Luxury and Elegant Cars in One Event

The 16 most extraordinary and exceptional cars between 1930 to mid-1960’s are displayed in the Automobile Exhibit at the Portland Art Museum. In the display area, you will see the different elegant cars such as the 1937 Hispano-Suiza that is owned by French apéritif baron André Dubonne, 1937 Hispano-Suiza owned by French apéritif baron André Dubonnet convertible owned by the Hollywood star Steve McQueen and the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR.

The show will show the evolution of cars from its design and concept to the technology and systems. The show started last June 11 and will last until September 11 of 2011. One of its highlights is the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR race car which is a limited edition as they only develop 3 of this car. It equipped with a eight-cylinder Grand Prix engine and acknowledge as one of the premium cars that is selected to represent the golden age of automotive design as well as 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster. With its ability to run at a maximum speed of 105 mph, Mercedes-Benz 540 K Special Roadster is appreciated for its presence and power. Using its 5.4 liters which produces 180 horsepower, this car will be one of the dominant cars on the road.
